I should put this one to bed.

I am still looking for the truth; but, this time I am doing it here:

Here is some more truth to say goodnight to Walking with my Shadow:

Hope to see you peeking in on the blog!

You Really Do

It's the way you look at him.  It's the way you care for him.  It's the way you love him.  It's the way you protect him.  My two best guys.  It's the way you hold his hand.  It's the way you keep him in your coat.  It's everything.

All Smiles...

...when the sun comes out.  A true testament to the power of the sun.  Their laughter was contagious.  They were walking behind my friend and I.  Once I heard the laughter, I turned around and clicked.  It was a great day to be out with friends.

Street Walking - Spotted: in an alley in Vancouver

It's been awhile.  I've put other things in front of this.  I also had a very busy 2011.  But, I'm recommitted to this thing I love to do.  It's about time too!  Here we go!

An old friend (Cherish from http://www.cherishbryckphotography.com) and I went for a walk one glorious sunny winter day.  We were searching for colour and life.  There appeared to be a lot of colour and some life out that day.  Here are some of the interesting ones.

This lady was in a hurry...

...to get to this corner.  She was an older lady looking for something that happened to be in that corner.  When I really think about it, this woman was inspiring to me.  She was an older woman looking for something.  I'll never know what.  I am not going to make any assumptions.  Regardless of where she is in her life, she had something on her mind, something she needed to find, and she went out looking for it.  We should all live that way, really.  I love Cherish Bryck and her photography, by the way, she is so inspiring, thank you mama xoxo.

The rest of the journey...

about a boy

Wonder and curiousity - he was trying to see if he could see fish in the Fraser.  There were boatloads of fish being sold on the pier.  His mother called for him about 3-4 times and it was finally at this one moment that he turned to her.  The guy was busy.  Fish watching is a lot of work!

Sunny Day Make Nice

Inspiration randomly springs out in front of you.  This is Jen, she makes music because she thinks it's fun.  She is The Square Root of Evil.  Jen travels around the world playing shows.  Jen travels around the city playing shows.  Why does she belong here?  She is absolutely inspiring.  She has a full-time job, comfortable, but not traditional, work.  She makes music because she LOVES it!  She's doing what she loves and shares it with others.  She is an impossibly intelligent and beautiful creature with a great sense of humour whom I admire.

She is truth.

Thank you Jen.

If you find yourself in Montreal the first 2 days of June check her out at MUTEK

Truth Within - I Love You Lenny

When setting out to do this blog, I felt its purpose was to learn from people I didn't know.  People who are wise, older, lived a more challenging life (i.e., an honest street "urchin" type - beggar, peddler, homeless...) to my privileged one (i.e., honest "family" type - loving parents, pets, and a roof...).  Those are the people who had stories and truth.  However, I was neglecting one major thing: truth is inside: within you, surrounding you, amongst your everyday interactions with people.

I'm looking for truth.  Someone who lives the truth.  A person who IS TRUTH.  Here she is, one who lives in, by, and for her truth.  She holds me to mine and helps me to discover it everyday!  Her stories interest me.  I learn from her.

I love you Lenny, my beautiful, truthful, and sometimes only FRIEND.

where is my mind?

I don't know where this one came from.  It's likely a combination of all the change in my life right now.  I had 45 minutes in this session to figure out what I wanted to do.  These photos (i.e., manufactured and posed) are not supposed to be on this blog as it represents the antithesis of the purpose for this blog.  Embrace it.  It's mere inclusion here is indicative of my state of mind.

I asked him to give me emotionless.  He did.  That's how I feel right now.  I put myself into this box that's just a little bit off.  Uncomfortable and strange.  I was recently challenged to look for the truth in my subject.  I think this is the current state of what I am observing right now.  Emotionless exhaustion coupled with a sense of "what the hell?"  Maybe more like: WTF?

Oh "truth," why are you so hard to find?
